Mountain Safety Research (MSR) is an outdoor equipment brand founded in 1969 by American Larry Penberthy. This Seattle engineer, passionate about mountaineering, dedicated his life to making this practice safer in terms of security. MSR was created from a simple idea: quality safe equipment is a guarantee of a successful adventure. From a simple newsletter in the early 1970s to today's equipment, MSR has greatly fulfilled its mission. Always keen to provide maximum information to climbers, as well as equipment that can enhance their safety, he did not hesitate to develop the products himself to offer the best possible equipment. Among its best-sellers, we can notably find the famous MSR Tents, water filters, crampons, and stoves. These same stoves were used during testing phases in the 70s to heat snow. They thus provided water to mountaineers during their northern and alpine adventures, helping them avoid dehydration, a true scourge for adventurers of the time. MSR Tents: lightweight and robust tents 

All MSR Tents, whether the MSR Hubba Hubba Nx or the MSR Mutha Hubba Nx, are made from nylon. This material makes them lightweight, improving ease and speed of setup. The roof materials of MSR Tents can vary. Indeed, you can find a DuraShield coating, or a coating in polyurethane and DWR. These coatings are very interesting at MSR because they are reworked, thus differing from basic coatings. For example, polyurethane is very interesting for waterproofing. However, it has some limitations regarding long-term moisture resistance. Thus, the DuraShield coating corrects this problem. According to tests conducted by MSR, this coating lasts twice as long as standard polyurethane coatings.
These reworked materials allow MSR Tents to be durable and waterproof, making them suitable for lightweight hikes, whether sunny or rainy. Furthermore, MSR Tents feature aluminium frames, providing a nice height and significant lightness for treks and hikes. Indeed, regardless of the chosen model, the weight on the scale will not exceed 3 kilograms. All-season MSR Tents
