In 1958, the inventive Ed Scott developed tapered aluminium ski poles to replace the classic bamboo that had been used until then. This invention marked the beginning of the Scott brand, which quickly positioned itself as a leader in technical products in the ski market. 

Innovation naturally became the foundation of the company's philosophy, which rapidly expanded into new markets. In 1970, the American brand entered the motocross market and, nearly 20 years later, designed the first aerodynamic bicycle handlebar.
