Ideal for multi-day alpine hikes, the Asymmetric 42 + 8 backpack from Vaude offers a stable and close-to-body fit for optimal walking comfort. The Asymmetric 42+8 is equipped with the Tergolight back technology with an integrated aluminum frame that allows for perfectly balanced load transfer and perfect stability even with a loaded backpack. The back length adjustment is simple, and you can then perfectly adjust your backpack thanks to the shoulder straps and hip belt.
Ergonomic and well-designed, we appreciate the main compartment accessible from the front. The Asymmetric 42+8 is also equipped with an additional flat pocket (for your map or waterproof jacket), an adjustable and removable lid, an interior compartment for valuables, and an easily accessible exterior compartment. To adjust the volume of the backpack, the side compression straps and the packing bag under the lid are very practical. Additionally, the mesh side pockets allow quick access to your bottles. We appreciate the adjustable gear straps that allow you to attach your ice axes or poles. The rest of the equipment can be attached using the attachment loops.
If the Asymmetric 42+8 is good for your back, it is also good for the environment. As a committed brand, Vaude uses textiles for this model that are made with the utmost respect for natural resources in compliance with the ecological standard of the bluesign® label.
