Petzl, designing climbing harnesses for 50 years

Founded around 50 years ago in the French mountains, the brand Petzl began by manufacturing tools such as ascenders, descenders, and pulleys that allowed for the gradual abandonment of ladders in caving. After creating a headlamp for mountaineering, the brand officially launched in 1975.
