Two airbag systems are present in the Mammut Avalanche Airbag Packs: the RAS technology (Removable Airbag System) and the PAS technology (Protection Airbag System).

Generally, the Mammut Avalanche Airbag Pack features a U-shaped airbag for optimal protection of the head, back, and chest. Bright orange, its colour also allows for quick location when someone is buried under the snow. The Mammut airbags have a volume of 150 L, a common size on the market, and inflate in just 3 seconds.
