CairnLava - MTB-Helmet

At just 340 g, the Lava MTB helmet from Cairn relies on a lightweight in-mould construction: its polycarbonate shell bonded to the EPS foam helps disperse impact energy.

The 13 vents and Aero Flow channels carved into the foam keep air moving from front to back to limit heat build-up. The Occipital Protect Zone extends the coverage at the back of the skull for added protection. The rear adjustment system lets you fine-tune the helmet to your head for a stable fit.

Designed for mountain bikers, it's ideal for rides on rough terrain, uphill and downhill. Its removable and washable liner makes it easy to care for after your outings.

• In-mould: In-Mould helmets are the lightest on the market. The internal EPS is injected directly into the pre-thermoformed polycarbonate shell. The 2 layers are inseparable and distribute impact across the entire surface for optimal absorption and protection.

Its aim is to maximise the safety and protection of your head with a more enveloping shape at the back of the skull, helping you stay better protected and safer in the event of an impact.

• Aero Flow: The Aero Flow system is a technology that promotes air circulation inside the helmet. Made up of channels carved into the EPS, it naturally vents the helmet, moving air from front to back for a constantly regulated temperature.
