Founded in 1975 in the small town of Asolo near Venice, the brand of the same name originated from the idea of a man, Giancarlo Tanzi. Already ahead of his time, the Asolo team developed the first mountain shoes made from leather and textile (Cordura) and incorporated Gore-Tex® technology. Quickly, in 1998, Asolo was taken over by the Zanatta family, renowned throughout Italy for their long tradition of shoemaking. At the helm of the Tecnica Group, the second generation of the Zanatta family has managed to innovate and pass on to the next two generations a company recognized internationally for its quality and craftsmanship.
