Cébé: the pioneering brand for eye protection
The story of the Cébé brand began in 1892 in the Jura with its creation by Jean-Louis Crestin-Billet. Thus, Cébé became a pioneering brand in the manufacture of sports eyewear. From its early days, the French brand has accompanied numerous mountaineers on their expeditions, creating products tailored to the most extreme weather conditions. With the rise of ski holidays, the company expanded its activities and began producing ski helmets as well as goggles to ride the wave of winter sports. Quickly, Cébé products gained recognition for their high quality and technicality, attracting the greatest champions of the time to collaborate with the company. In 1968, Cébé designed ski goggles and helmets for legends of that era, including Jean-Claude Killy, a triple Olympic champion in alpine skiing in Grenoble in 1968. Two years later, Walter Cecchinel launched the iconic Cébé Cecchinel glacier glasses, Cébé sunglasses that marked their time.
