Ternua: from Newfoundland in the North Sea to the Basque Ternua 

Just like beautiful stories, the tale of Ternua begins with an adventure, that of the Basque whalers. Fearless adventurers of the North Sea, braving the weather and nature to reach their destination, Newfoundland, "Ternua" in Basque. It was these adventures that inspired the creation of the brand in 1994. Always seeking new challenges, that same year, Ternua decided to accompany Alberto and Félix Iñurrategi on their journey and incredible challenge of reaching the 14 peaks over eight thousand meters without assisted oxygen. This led to many developments and steps towards a more sustainable design with meticulously chosen European materials. Close to the athletes, Ternua has surrounded itself well and shared its passion with athletes such as Patxi Usobiaga, a high-level Basque climber. Over time, Ternua has managed to eliminate non-essential products, such as in 2015 with the complete removal of PFOA/PFOS from the entire range or in 2016 with the design of 80% of products without PFC. 

Today, Ternua has not lost its guiding values and continues to offer durable clothing that will accompany individuals on their journeys through the peaks.
