Hanwag
Hanwag, 100 years of experience
Founded in Bavaria in 1921, the brand Hanwag is a reference in the world of hiking shoes. Synonymous with craftsmanship combined with technical expertise, continuous innovation, durability, and tradition, the products of this German brand are all of very high quality. For 100 years, these mountain shoes have been designed in Germany, near Munich. Thanks to collaborations with professional athletes such as climbers, hikers, and mountain guides, Hanwag creates innovative shoes perfected down to the smallest details. To achieve this, the Bavarian company employs only two complex artisanal techniques to ensure a perfect construction: the so-called “cemented” construction and double stitching. This guarantees robust, durable shoes that can be resoled. As all feet are different, Hanwag strives to design walking shoes with an ever-better and more individual fit. To this end, the brand developed its own molds several years ago. The result of all this experience - initiated by Hans Wagner - is exceptional hiking shoes. Offering an expanded range, the German brand produces both hiking shoes and men's trekking shoes or women's trekking shoes.
Hanwag shoes for all trails
Designed to tread all trails, Hanwag shoes are all crafted to provide the best possible sensations. For instance, the men's trekking shoe Tatra Light GTX is a prime example. Very comfortable, they also feature numerous technologies that make them an ultra-complete pair. Their Gore-Tex lining ensures waterproofing, breathability, and wind protection at all times. Underfoot, the Vibram sole guarantees optimal grip and increased durability. The kind of shoe model to wear during challenging treks in rugged terrain. In a similar style combining performance and protection, the women's shoes Tatra II Lady GTX are a reference. Also equipped with a Gore-Tex membrane and a Vibram sole, they feature a subtle design that will match all styles and trails. For hassle-free hikes, whether by the sea or under the highest peaks, they include effective protection at the front of the foot and heels. Everything to ensure that rugged paths are not a reason to stop!
