The Sympatex® waterproof membrane is indeed waterproof (40,000 mm) and breathable, windproof, PFC-free, bluesign® certified, and 100% climate neutral. The outsole integrates, as in the classic version, both Vibram® Megagrip technology, which offers exceptional grip on rocky surfaces, grassy areas, or slippery roots, as well as Vibram® Litebase technology, which reduces the sole's weight by about 30% and makes it 50% thinner without compromising its qualities. The 5 mm lugs are still just as stable and durable.
The EVA foam midsole offers an excellent balance between lightness, cushioning, and energy return. These shoes feature an 8 mm drop (31 mm at the rear and 23 mm at the front).
A water-repellent ripstop polyester mesh also protects the Sympatex® membrane at the upper.
Finally, the lacing is also innovative: it is designed asymmetrically, which enhances support and minimizes pressure points.
