The MTN Trainer 2 GTX by Salewa is a low-cut approach shoe designed in Montebelluna. Its 1.6 mm suede upper and GORE-TEX® lining keep your feet dry, while the Vibram sole grips on rock, scree, mud, and grass.
Under the midfoot, a via ferrata zone with right-angled lugs bites into metal rungs. The 360° rubber rand protects against abrasion from rocks, and the 3F system connects the instep, sole, and heel for precise support. The new shape is 15% lighter and more flexible.
It is designed for intermediate to advanced hikers who alternate between technical trails, via ferratas, and treks in remote terrain, in all weather conditions. The climbing lacing, adjustable to the toes, enhances support when the terrain gets tough. On a towpath, it would almost be overkill.
