Its water-repellent finish makes water bead on the surface without making the vest waterproof. This model is aimed at enthusiasts of fast hiking and ski touring who are looking for targeted and compact insulation. It can be worn over a t-shirt or a light fleece in cool weather, and then under a protective jacket when the cold intensifies.
