Salewa, a legacy of craftsmanship for 80 years
Salewa was founded in 1935 in Germany. Initially, the company specialised in leather goods. In 1955, Salewa developed its first hiking backpack, designed for the expedition of Andine Hermann Huber in the Andes.
Over the years, the brand diversified and specialised in manufacturing mountain sports equipment.
